On behalf of the Philippine Weekend Gala Committee, we would like to thank everyone who helped make the Gala event a success! It was wonderful to see Philippine Weekend friends who traveled long distances and many of the locals finally gather together! Thank you! We would like to create a Gala album to commemorate the 40th, so for those of you who attended, please send your best Gala pictures to email@example.com to be included in the Gala Book. Deadline to have your pictures included is July 17. Thanks again everyone!
What’s your favorite Philippine Weekend memory? Was it last year when Jo Koy stopped by for a visit? Or maybe it was the year we had Pinoy Jam and One Voice performed? Maybe it’s the taste of ice cold Halo-Halo, the smell of Filipino BBQ in the air, or the sound of tinikling sticks clicking in the background? Whatever the memory, be it the relief from the heat in the Bingo hall or the excitement of the basketball tournament, Philippine Weekend has helped make memories for all of us over the last 40 years!
Come and share your favorite Philippine Weekend memories this Saturday, July 5th, at the Philippine Weekend Gala, to be held at the National Guard Armory. There will be delicious Filipino food, drinks, and door prizes! There will also be a slideshow presentation commemorating 40 years of Philippine Weekend!
Whether you are staying in town or coming home to visit for the 4th of July, come beat the heat and join us at the Armory on the 5th! Reserve your tickets now by calling or texting Arleen Villaruz-Gonzales at 661.343.3379.
